He then traveled down south looking for the right spot from which the river would flow. He reached the Kodagu (Coorg), hills. He called Ganesha in disguise, and asked him the boy to help him hold the vessel as he searched for the perfect spot. Ganesha, in all his wisdom, chose the right location for the origin of river and set the kamandalu to rest on the spot. A Crow came to the vessel and sat down on it. Hinduism teaches that the universe was created millions of years ago. According to Hindu beliefs in reincarnation and the universe that we live in, it is not yet the first or even the last.
Hindus believe the universe was created by Brahma.
Brahma made the world. Now, Vishnu holds the power to save the world and humanity.
Shiva, who is part of the cycle between birth, life, and destruction, will ultimately destroy the universe. It's not as terrible as it seems, since it allows Brahma and Shiva to restart the process of creating.
