What is Reiki?
Reiki is based on the concept of unseen, "life force energy", which sustains us. The life force energy that flows through us determines our health and wellbeing. When our life energy is at a low level, it may be higher.
Reiki is basically a technique for relieving stress through the "laying on of hands or use of symbols".
How does it work?
Reiki teaches us that life force energy flows through our bodies, keeping us alive. The body has pathways called chakras. Meridians and naadis are the channels that carry the life force energy. Aura, an energy field around the body, is another way the energy flows.
Our thoughts and feelings directly influence our aura. Because negative ideas attach to the aural energy field, disrupting the flow and flow of life force energy through the body. Reiki, which heals disturbances or deficiencies in the flow and flow of life energy or positive force through the body, clears the energy paths and targets the area where negative thoughts get attached.
