Distant Healing and the Human Energy Field

⁣Reiki healing is based on energy. We are more than just our physical bodies. All of us are surrounded by energy fields, or auras that take energy from the surrounding. The chakras or energy centres process it and the meridians (or energy pathways) supply it throughout our bodies. It's similar to the body that needs energy to function. The Emotional Field is a field in which feelings are perceived, sensed and experienced. It extends beyond the 1 to 3 inch limit of the body. The Mental Field, which is connected to thoughts and brain processes, extends to between 3 and 8 inches from your physical body. The spiritual field is next. It is composed of four or more layers that are related to higher self and spiritual matters. It is active during meditation and prayer. These layers extend 6' 2", beyond the outer surface of the body.
